LEADER Programme 2007 - 2013
The Leader Programme was funded by the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE). The RDPE was jointly funded by the EU, through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, and the UK Government.

- 3 collaborative businesses supported
- 1 community rural bus service and 1 community shop funded
- 16 renewable energy projects using biomass, solar & woodfuel
- 52 new techniques & products funded in rural businesses
- 126,000 rural residents benefiting from improved local services, facilities & activities
- 20 recreational or educational ventures or facilities funded
- 52 businesses & organisations reducing use of finite resources
- 117 projects generated total investment of £4,519,000
- £2,089,649 of LEADER funding was allocated
- 58% of funding supported farming, forestry & agriculture
- 25% of funding supported rural businesses.
- 14% funding supported basic services & village renewal
- 3% of funding supported other community projects
The project was completed in 2014.
