About the Isle of Wight

A unitary authority, the Isle of Wight lies just off the south coast of England. It is known for its beaches and seafront promenades, dinosaur remains and fossils, its choice as a holiday destination for Queen Victoria and the iconic chalk stacks and lighthouse, known as The Needles.

With over half the Island classed as a National Landscape and a network of over 500 miles of footpaths, it is no wonder that it is popular with walkers and cyclists. It has been designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

The Island has thriving, world-class businesses and is just fifteen to twenty minutes from the cities of Southampton and Portsmouth and just 2 hours from London yet you can be strolling along quiet sandy beaches or taking in the breathtaking coastal views within minutes of leaving your Island office.
