Future Farming Resilience Fund

Access to Free Support for Island Farmers & Land Managers

The Future Farming Resilience Fund (FFRF), as funded by Defra, is designed to provide business support to farmers and land managers during the Agricultural Transition.

To achieve this Defra has awarded a grant to The Wight Rural Hub to help farmers and land managers to:

  • understand the changes that are happening
  • identify how, what and when they may need to adapt their business models
  • access tailored support to adapt

The Wight Rural Hub offers a free to use central resource to all Isle of Wight farmers and land managers and delivers a suite of interventions…delivered for the Island by the Island.

Thanks to the support of DEFRA, through the Future Farming Resilience Fund (FFRF), we are providing an extensive range of resources to help Isle of Wight farmers & land managers navigate the Agricultural Transition.  This will include:

  • Workshops
  • Seminars
  • 1-1 reviews
  • Signpost business opportunities and the availability of specialist advice and support

The aim is to help Island farmers and land managers to make their businesses more resilient and to take advantage of future opportunities and funding; … turning national policy into local opportunity.

We work in collaboration and partnership with Island stakeholders to add value in support of IOW farmers and land managers.
